The Trend-Setting Cloud Strategy Among Companies

Today, we are talking about multi-cloud, or what is known as the option of using several clouds. We will discover the advantages that it presents for any company, including the increase in security and a lower latency time.

Since cloud technology began to spread in the market, organizations have been counting on multiple options, opting for the solution they believe has been best adapted to their needs.

Data and the Multi-Cloud Model

They have chosen the public cloud, the private cloud, or even the hybrid cloud. All of them are valid, each one with its advantages and disadvantages, in which the choice, in any case, is finally complicated.

Consider that according to a report, 86% of companies are carrying out their strategy with more than one cloud service provider.

Only 16% of these companies plan to use a single type of cloud, and 84% are doing so with different styles and without full integration between them.

In general terms, the hybrid cloud strategy is the preferred one, and let’s say that the multi-cloud model is the intermediate step.

What is Multi-Cloud

The multi-cloud arises from a more significant expansion of organizations. Companies increase their services; customers demand new applications with features that satisfy daily management and their day-to-day.

The multi-cloud environment is a new cloud solution that allows several hybrid clouds (public or private) provided by more than one provider.

Thus, instead of moving through various platforms, companies can unite, for example, Amazon Web Services and Azure, in a single system.

Advantages of Multi-Cloud

1. Better and more performance With multi-cloud, you can take the best performance from each cloud and use it.

2. Allows you to work with other clouds in case of possible failures. You can then operate with another cloud in a multi-cloud system if one fails.

3. Lower latency time Having multiple cloud services allows data to move across different platforms much faster than from a single location.

4. Cybersecurity: Essential to preserve the security of the data of any company or business. Using multi-cloud, organizations can use different hosts and combine the public cloud with the private cloud.

5. Considerably reduces infrastructure maintenance costs. The multi-cloud allows you to reduce the costs of having a system implemented in the cloud.

6. Regulation with different countries. Lastly, a multi-cloud strategy paves the way and allows adherence to the regulations of different countries.
