What will be the Future Workspaces Technology and Culture

Working methods are being transformed, and the more sustainable and collaborative ways and places users go to carry out their daily functions.

A cultural change within the organization itself, according to IDC Research. The latest data provided by IDC Research reveals that by 2021, 60% of the G2000 companies will have adopted the workplace of the future, intending to improve the employee experience and productivity.

In the same way, IDC Research focuses on three fundamental pillars to argue the transformation of jobs: space, technology and culture.

According to a survey carried out by IDC EMEA Future of Work, 43% of companies acknowledge their concern about data security, privacy and governance.

One of the most promoted aspects is collaborative spaces, coworking and social networking areas to improve relations between work teams.

In addition, the same survey estimates automation of repetitive tasks by 50% by the year 2024, estimating that approximately 20% of workers will have a collaborative digital assistant.

What Will the Workplaces of the Future Look Like?

The workplace in the future will be radically very different from what we have conceived of as a workplace until now.

According to the Print 2025 report, they stand out:

1. An increase in technologies such as IoT, Artificial Intelligence and analytics

IoT, the cloud, big data analytics and AI will make significant strides in the coming years, opening up new possibilities for connectivity.

By 2025, some 80 billion devices are expected to generate data.

2. Employee mobility the proliferation of interactive screens, virtual assistance, coworking or collaboration will encourage 60% of mobile workers.

3. Millennials will make up the majority of the workforce by 2025.

Those born between 1980 and 2000 will represent more than 75% of the workforce. Generation Z will gradually be incorporated into working life, thus changing towards work methods that will never be the same as before.

Characteristics of the Workspaces of the Future

In central locations or further away, they will be areas that will offer much entertainment and maximum comfort.

The workplaces of the future will be highly responsive. They will be full of sensors that detect everything from temperature to hydration levels in a fully customizable environment to enhance the employee experience.

Open workspaces with large terraces and rooms make the days as comfortable as possible.

Adaptable spaces with modular furniture allow it to be adapted to different situations or meetings.

Sustainable spaces, where plants, water or nature prevail over more balanced and natural workspaces.

Use of collaborative Technology and 3D. Technologies such as virtual reality and augmented reality will allow more realistic videoconferences to be held from anywhere and at any time.
